Production and DesignPAD is the backbone of the SUDS community. PAD is the technical production group; it is made up of both experienced and newly trained crew. If you want to get involved in SUDS and are interested in backstage come along to a PAD meeting. They run workshops, provide advice and are the first port of call for all new directors. Actors and directors can only benefit from backstage experience. Crewing a show is not only rewarding and an easy way to meet people, but it provides essential practical insight into the workings of theatre than can not be gained simply in the spotlight.
If you are interested in any or all of Producing, Lighting, Sound, Set
Design, Costume Design or Stage Management then this is the subgroup for
you.
Our first meeting is next Thursday, May 1st, at 5pm in the Cellar Theatre.
At that meeting we’ll try and create a program for the rest of semester and
into next semester, as well as give you a very basic overview of what the
Cellar is capable of. It won’t last more than an hour.
We have also setup a PAD Facebook group to reduce the spammage from the
SUDS Group. So if you can’t make the meeting and want to keep up with
